Check out one of the members of our Insects 3D Stock Collection - The Ant. As one of the most social creatures on Earth, that compensates its size with the quantity of their colonies, the Ant is definitely worth studying and observing.
That is exactly what we did by reading about the way it operates and downloading many reference images in order to create the most realistic 3D Stock Asset. We have created the Ant in 3Ds Max, Zbrush and Photoshop, using V-ray plugin for the renders. The asset is fully rigged and ready for animation and posing.
We have even decided to make it easier for costumers by creating a set of 6 ready to go poses which are available as a separate collection. From start to finish the process took 10 days to complete, from gathering references, modeling, texturing and materials to creating the rig.
